Walla is back in

Essendon Football Club is pleased to announce Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti has agreed to a three year contract extension which will see him remain at the Club until the end of 2019.

Walla has been one of the Club’s shining lights this season, and his blistering pace, silky skills and aggression around the contest has seen him earn ‘cult hero’ status amongst the Bomber faithful.

The 23 year-old said he was excited about continuing his career in the red and black.

“Essendon gave me the chance to play AFL, and I’m really happy to keep playing my footy for the Bombers,” McDonald-Tipungwuti said.

“I have learnt a lot this year since getting my chance to play senior footy, I know I have to keep working hard on my game but I’m really enjoying playing my football under Woosha.

“I have some really good mates at Essendon, especially Harts (Michael Hartley), I love playing with the boys, the fans have been great and I’m really excited about what we can do together as a team in the next few years.”
