Crows lock down Jarryd Lyons

Promising young Adelaide midfielder Jarryd Lyons will remain at West Lakes for a further two seasons after inking a new deal on Thursday.

The No.61 selection in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft made his senior debut in round five against Port Adelaide and has played three games, averaging just under nine disposals.

Lyons joined a growing number of young Crows to re-sign with the club this year along with Patrick Dangerfield, Taylor Walker, Rory Sloane, Jared Petrenko, Richard Douglas, Brodie Smith and Matthew Jaensch.

“We’ve had such a successful year so far and to be a part of it, playing three games and debuting this year has been really good,” Lyons, 19, told afc.com.au.

“I took massive confidence out of those three games. To be able to crack into the side, and it was such a tough side to crack into as well, and play three games on the trot was really good.
