Josh Saunders – Player Review

J Saunders vs Cats

Josh Saunders had a promising first season at the club, playing 10 senior games including St Kilda’s historic Anzac Day clash with Sydney in Wellington.

His best match was against Port Adelaide in round 17 at Etihad Stadium, when he laid four tackles and collected 18 disposals in the hard-fought loss.

The 19-year-old has an elite engine, and with another summer on the track and in the gym, shapes as an exciting up-and-coming midfielder in the years to come.

Development coach Tony Micale:

“Josh’s greatest attribute is his ability to run all day which makes him an important midfielder for us. He really developed during his time in the senior team and his performances for Sandringham were also very consistent.”
