Lewis Pierce – Player Review

L Pierce VFL Rd 18 Lewis Pierce’s 2013 season was a learning experience for the 202cm ruckman.

It’s well documented that tall players take longer to develop and Pierce was challenged to fast-track his progress this year, working hard off the field on his physical make-up and with the coaches on his tap-work.

Ben McEvoy’s departure in the off-season may open up doors for the 18-year-old who will benefit from another summer on the track.
Development coach Tony Micale:

“Lewis’ footy is about body management at the moment. As the season wore he improved in the ruck and continued to learn his craft. He gained further experience late in the season when he played on Darren Jolly and David Hille in the VFL.”
