Lyons still crowing

Emerging midfielder Jarryd Lyons has extended his stay at the Adelaide Crows by a further two years.

The Victorian played 10 AFL games this year and had attracted interest from rival clubs during the recent trade period.

Known as a stoppage specialist and prolific ball winner, Lyons has also demonstrated he can play as a forward and kicked three goals against North Melbourne in Round 22.

He was taken with pick 61 at the 2010 national draft.

Lyons, 22, wants to be part of the team-orientated environment at Adelaide.

“I met with Phil Walsh and like where the Club is heading,” Lyons said.

“It is an exciting time and we are all ready for the hard work ahead.”
