Perryman Debut

GREATER Western Sydney has confirmed its 2016 No.14 draft pick, Harry Perryman, will play his first AFL game on Saturday.

Perryman is a product of the GWS academy and comes from the tiny town of Collingullie in southern NSW .

He follows in the footsteps of good friend Matt Kennedy, who also hails from Collingullie. Perryman was drafted to the club the season after Kennedy (the Giants’ No.13 draft pick in 2015).

Perryman’s selection to the senior team comes off the back of a 40-disposal game against Aspley last weekend in the NEAFL. His game also included seven marks, four tackles and a goal.

The Giants say Perryman is a quality player who “moves like a natural footballer”.

“Perryman isn’t quick but twists and turns his way out of trouble and rarely gets caught,” the club said in a statement.

He is the second GWS player to make his debut in two weeks. In round eight Daniel Lloyd played his first AFL game after he was elevated from the Giants’ rookie list.
