BIO

Joining North from the Western Bulldogs through the draft, Kim Rennie is an established AFLW contributor in the ruck, and played a key role in the Bulldogs’ premiership in 2018. Coming from a basketball background, Rennie is equally as capable and confident playing as a key forward, often chipping in with important goals

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos debut: Round 1, 2022 S6

Season 7: Experiencing her second season at North Melbourne, Rennie’s tap-work and mobility around the ground impressed in all 12 appearances she made.

Often able to act as a fourth rover, many opposition rucks found it difficult to match Rennie’s running patterns as well as he contested marking ability around the ground.

Despite not racking up massive hitout and disposal numbers throughout the campaign, Rennie’s impact on games was always notable and her absence – in addition to Emma Kearney’s – was one that was sorely felt in Round 10’s hard-fought draw against the Tigers.

She particularly stood out in Round 4’s must-win clash with the Cats where she tallied 20 hitouts, 10 disposals and four tackles in the 12-point victory. Recruited from basketball, Rennie has never played football but has impressed with how quickly she has picked up the sport. Her athleticism could see her play in the ruck or in a key post at either end of the ground.
