Whiley a Blue

Fantastic news for Carlton fans as the Blues secure two exciting young players on day eight of the AFL Trade period.

Former Greater Western Sydney players Kristian Jaksch and Mark Whiley will both don the Navy Blue in 2015.

20-year-old Jaksch was recruited to GWS from the Oakleigh Charges with a first round draft pick (No.12 overall) in the 2012 National Draft. The tall swingman made his debut for the Giants in Round 22, 2013 and kicked a goal with his first ever kick at AFL level. He’s since played seven AFL games.

Whilst 21-year-old Whiley was recruited to GWS ahead of the 2010 National Draft as one of the Club’s NSW zone selections. He made his AFL debut in Round 12, 2012 and has since played 12 AFL games. The promising midfielder was also awarded with the Giants’ NEAFL Player of the Year in 2013
